MSKTH Monthly: March

Let's start Ramadan with a BANG!

ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, dear brothers and sisters!

Ramadan Mubarak!

As we welcome this blessed month we hope it brings you peace, strength and endless blessings.

We know exam season is coming up and things might feel overwhelming, but remember, this is also a time of reflection, patience, and growth. Take things one step at a time, stay focused, and trust that everything will fall into place.

May this Ramadan bring you success in both your studies and your deen. You got this!

...and as the famous quote goes

Let's start Ramadan with a BANG!

Last Month's Recap

Woah, six events in 28 days. Safe to say there was no shortage of MSKTH in February. Let's see what we got up to!

MSKTH x MSSU x MSKI Ski Trip

In case you were too deep into studying and missed it, we started off the month with a ski trip to Romme Alpin with out sister organizations MSSU and MSKI! We hope everyone had as much fun on the slopes as we did and that you returned home with as many bones as you left with!

Active Members’ Debate Night

As thanks for always helping out, we hosted an exclusive debate night for out active members. If that sounds any fun, don’t hesitate to sign up as an active member today!

Think Big, Dare More – A Night of Success Stories

We continued the month with a very inspiring evening where we got to hear accomplished professionals share their journeys in leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation. A big thanks to our speakers: Mehmet Kaplan, Sourosh Ehsani, Hanan Karrouk, Kitimbwa Sabuni and Pontus Selander!

Paint'n Waffle

For sisters we tried a new concept, Paint'n Waffle: A cozy evening of candle painting, warm waffles, and great company! The event was a huge hit and we hope to host something similar soon.

FIFA Night - MSKTH x MSSU

For brothers we hosted a FIFA tournament together with MSSU. This was an even bigger hit and registration filled up in just over an hour! Make sure to be quick next time to secure your spot.

The Light in Ramadan: A Pre-Ramadan Boost

To end the month and to prepare ourselves for Ramadan we organized a lecture held by Shaykh Mohammed Amin Kharraki and Shaykh Mohamed Amin Channoufi. We hope everyone that attended got the necessary boost to, say it with me now, start Ramadan with a BANG!

Ayah of The Month

"You will never achieve righteousness until you donate some of what you cherish. And whatever you give is certainly well known to Allah."

Qur’an 3:92

so, y’know…
might as well check that auction out :p

Brain Teaser of The Month

Since you’re all engineers, here’s this month’s brain teaser:

Imagine a 747 is sitting on a conveyor belt, as wide and long as a runway. The conveyor belt is designed to exactly match the speed of the wheels, moving in the opposite direction. Can the plane take off?

Think you know the answer? Send us a DM with your best guess, and we’ll shout out the first correct answer in April's newsletter!

Last Month’s Riddle: In 1990, a person is 15 years old. In 1995, that same person is 10 years old. How can this be?

Answer: The person was born in 2005 BC.

Shoutout to Judy for being the first to answer correctly!

That wraps up this month’s issue! Thank you for being a valued part of our community. We look forward to seeing you at this month’s events, in sha Allah!

Sincerely,

The board of MSKTH
