Boxing Class for Sisters

Enough with the candle painting, no more waffles, no more fika. It’s time to show what you’re really made of!

We’re partnering with a training and martial arts club that hosts classes for sisters only so if self defense and boxing sounds interesting at all, make sure to check it out!

Last Month's Recap

Amidst mid-terms and trying to make it to taraweeh every night, we still managed to host some nice events this Ramadan. But more importantly we all came together to make a positive impact.

Knytis-Iftar with MSKTH & MSSU

We started of the month with a potluck iftar together with MSSU. Everyone brought their own food and the result was a super cozy evening together at Flemingsberg Campus.

Thank you to everyone who participated, we hope we can host something similar next year!

Charity Iftar - MSKTH x BRIGHT

Once again we joined forces with Bright to host our annual Charity Iftar! A fantastic night filled with Qur’an recitation, a Ramadan reminder, poetry reading, prayer, delicious food, fun quizzes and the main event, our chaotic live charity auctions!

After calculating the amounts from all the live auctions, we’re excited to announce a total sum of 34 800 kr!!!

Ramadan Charity Auctions

But the charity didn’t stop there, nor did it start there…

Almost every day, and sometimes multiple times a day, we held different charity auctions on Instagram to raise money for our charity project for this year.

Together with Hasene we raised money for those in need in Sudan and Gaza.

You can see the total amount of money raised on their website: https://hasene.se/pages/mskth

Jazakum Allah khayran to everyone who donated and participated in the auctions and to all of our sponsors for making all of this possible.

Ayah of The Month

“Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort.”

Qur’an 13:28

Brain Teaser of The Month

We’re back at it again, here’s this month’s brain teaser:

A woman shoots her husband. Then, she holds him underwater for over 5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later, they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?

Think you know the answer? Send us a DM with your best guess, and we’ll shout out the first correct answer in April's newsletter!

Last Month’s Riddle: Imagine a 747 is sitting on a conveyor belt, as wide and long as a runway. The conveyor belt is designed to exactly match the speed of the wheels, moving in the opposite direction. Can the plane take off?

Answer: Yes, the plane can take off. The engines push the plane forward through the air, not by spinning the wheels. The conveyor belt only affects the wheels, which can spin freely. As long as the engines move the plane forward fast enough, air flows over the wings and it can take off.

(Okay so it seems the internet is still in disagreement over this… I think this answer makes sense but apparently the riddle of the month could just as well have been “If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there, does it still make a sound?”)

Shoutout to brother Tawsiful for being the first to answer correctly!

That wraps up this month’s issue! Thank you for being a valued part of our community. We look forward to seeing you at this month’s events, in sha Allah!

Sincerely,

The board of MSKTH
